A Solution for Fixing the Government

Yes, I've got the solution for fixing our staunchly bipartisan, compromise disabled government. It's genius, I say. Genius! This country has become too large to pass legislation that might result in failure. Therefore we need to 'test market' the ideas. Let the constituents who voted in the Tea Party legislators become the model states to 'try out' what the Tea Party wants. Eliminate government funding from their lives: grants, medicare, medicaid, disaster funds, etc.  and do a longitudinal study of the results. If it works, then expand the model to additional states. It's simple, it's fair and I think we will certainly get results! :)

Hey, at least I'm thinking 'out of the box.' LOL

  1. Works for me!
Can we add to that a reduction to the Legislative budget? How about across the board reduction to office staff and costs, travel restrictions and mandatory co-pay of health benefits for a start?

I read somewhere that half of the congressmen are millionaires but some of them must have family living on Social Security or receiving other gov't benefits.

  2. If the Tea Party wants to adhere to the principles they are espousing, then by all means those costs should be reduced as well.
